Added: Jul 06, 2015 12:20 pm Modified: Jul 07, 2015 3:39 pmTrack Changes The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for the renovation/upgrade of tide gages located in the New Jersey Tide Telemetry System. Specific renovations include, but are not limited to the following:



- Raise equipment above recent flood levels

- Remove existing NEMA enclosures

- Install wooden pile structure with wooden deck and handrails or equivalent marine grade aluminum alloy

- Raise existing equipment above major flood levels and protect same from wind and storm surge damage.

- Work will take place in the following counties in New Jersey: Passaic, Middlesex, Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Essex, Gloucester, and Ocean County.



The magnitude of construction is between $150,000 and $250,000.



Request for Proposal (RFP) G15PS00426 will close Aug 23, 2015. The Government will consider acceptance of alternative payment protections.



A site visit will be held, tentatively scheduled for July 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. EST. CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT.



The NAICS code is 238210. The size standard is $15.0 million. This acquisition will be a 100% Small Business Set Aside.



The anticipated award date of the contract is Aug 30, 2015. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals may be emailed to abenton@usgs.gov or mailed to the address specified in the RFP. Faxed proposals will not be accepted.
