About this opportunity

The Special Notice is issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for a brand name justification to procure Vertiv/Liebert power products and services from a small business certified Vertiv partner. The purpose is to authorize the removal and disposal of 2,120 batteries, the procurement and installation of 1,960 new batteries, and the procurement and installation of four junction cabinets with associated cabling for six Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units located at the National Center for Critical Information Processing and Storage (NCCIPS) facility.

This will result in a firm-fixed price award with a six-month period of performance. Market research determined that only Vertiv-certified partners can provide the required compatibility and warranty coverage, necessitating the brand name justification. NASA will continue to examine the market for alternative solutions before any subsequent acquisitions. There are no specific deadlines or eligibility criteria mentioned, as this is a sole-source procurement to a Vertiv certified small business partner.
