About this opportunity
Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is hosting an Industry Day on June 30, 2026, to conduct market research on non-destructive testing (NDT) and advanced inspection capabilities; registration closes June 19, 2026, at 1200 EST. This is a presolicitation forum for market research under FAR Part 10 and FAR 15.201(c) and will not result in a formal solicitation.
NAVSEA seeks to understand private sector capability and capacity in three technical areas: Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) with Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD) to address gaps where Navy organic capacity is insufficient; PAUT procedure development and qualification for structural applications in accordance with Navy technical publications and standards; and data architecture for NDT records to support machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives, with data to reside in AWS government cloud infrastructure. Participants should demonstrate familiarity with NDT data standards, data ontologies, and DICONDE.
The all-day event runs 0730 to 1530 at 1201 M Street, Washington D.C. The agenda includes opening remarks, Navy objectives and challenges overview, three technical sessions addressing each focus area, optional one-on-one breakout sessions with government representatives from 1300 to 1415, and a closing Q&A forum. Lunch is provided.
Interested firms must register by June 19, 2026, at 1200 EST and submit any topic-specific questions to Leigh Marvin (leigh.a.marvin.civ@us.navy.mil) by the same deadline.
