About this opportunity

This Special Notice from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) concerns sole source contract support services for NASA's Student Launch event. NASA/NSSC intends to award a sole source contract to the National Association of Rocketry to provide education and training support services as it has been determined the Association is the sole provider capable of fulfilling the requirement.

Interested parties may submit capabilities by March 28th solely for the agency to determine if competition is warranted. Only the National Association of Rocketry located in Marion, Iowa is eligible for the award as a sole source. NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Education and training support services.

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ROCKETRY, 2275
Geode ST Marion, Iowa 52302-7625,under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ROCKETRY is the sole provider of education and training support services.
NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Marshall
Space Flight Center (MSFC).

The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures
prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 611710.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the
identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 3/28/2022. Such
capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this
procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on
a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the
government.
