About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
This Pre-solicitation Notice is issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to solicit responses from interested parties for a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) based Virtual Private Network (VPN) Remote Access Solution. NASA is seeking information on product capabilities and compatibility with its overall architecture to support approximately 8,000 full-client and 500 clientless users. Key requirements include support for multiple authentication methods, granular access controls, clientless access, device/user conditional access policies, HTML5 remote access protocols, and FIPS 140-2 compliance. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) are due by June 26, 2024, and should be limited to 10 pages in length. NASA will not pay for any costs associated with responding to this RFI.
Paragraph 2:
This RFI is not a set-aside opportunity and does not name any potential incumbents or current contractors. NASA has not provided any information on potential award values or budget ranges, as this is an RFI and not a Request for Proposal (RFP). NASA is seeking information for strategic planning purposes and potential partnerships with industry, and is not soliciting proposals at this time. Interested firms are responsible for monitoring NASA's website and other government procurement platforms for the release of any future solicitation or synopsis related to this requirement.

Amendment 1 - The purpose of this amendment is to: 1) provide responses to industry questions, and 2) to extend the submission deadline from Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 5 PM EST to Friday, June 28, 2024 at 5 PM EST to allow for industry to respond to posted Q&A.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NO PROPOSALS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE.
This notice is issued by the NASA//Information Technology Procurement Office (ITPO) to post a draft Statement of Work to solicit responses from interested parties. This document is for information and planning purposes and to allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well as promote competition.
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and strategic planning purposes as part of NASA’s Chief Data Officer strategic initiatives and potential partnerships and engagements between NASA and Industry; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.
This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, NASA is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals for any specific data management related activities discussed in the following. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in accordance with FAR 5.2, and will be synopsized on SAM.gov, General Services Administration (GSA) e- Buy, or NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP). Interested firms are responsible for monitoring these websites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.
This presolicitation synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The Government may not respond to questions/concerns submitted.
All responses shall be submitted electronically via email to Christina Ostronic, Contracting Officer (christina.m.ostronic@nasa.gov) and Michelle Downs, Contracting Officer (michelle.m.downs@nasa.gov) no later than June, 26, 2024, 5:00 p.m. EST.
