About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center (GRC) has issued a solicitation (Solicitation Number 80TECH24Q0056) to procure a TE Connectivity Optimus System for use at the 10x10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel (SWT). The Optimus System is the latest generation of the pressure measurement system currently in use at the facility, and the interface between the system and NASA's data system has been developed over the last decade. NASA is issuing this firm fixed-price Request for Quotation (RFQ) on a lowest price technically acceptable basis, with quotes due by 5:00 PM EDT on September 16, 2024. The delivery timeline for the system is 63 weeks after receipt of order.
This solicitation is not set-aside for any specific business size or type. The current incumbent system is the predecessor of the Optimus System, also manufactured by TE Connectivity/Measurement Specialties. The estimated value of the 48-week contract is undisclosed, but the government has determined the anticipated cost will be fair and reasonable. The place of performance is the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Notice text
NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) has a requirement to purchase Measurement Specialties TE Connectivity Optimus System for use at the 10x10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel (SWT). The 10x10 SWT at NASA GRC is standardized to using TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties products for pressure measurement. The system currently in use is the predecessor of the Optimus Pressure Measurement System and uses the same interface to connect with the NASA data system. The interface between the Optimus system and NASAs data system has been developed over the last decade and is well understood, being in use at various other facilities at NASA GRC.
