About this opportunity
The NASA Glenn Research Center has a requirement to purchase the TE Connectivity Optimus System for use in the 10x10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel. This system is the successor to the currently used pressure measurement system and is designed to interface with NASA's data systems, which have been developed over the last decade. NASA is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Firm Fixed Price contract for the Optimus System, which includes six 32HD and four 32HD pressure scanners, one system processor, and associated cables and accessories. Quotes are due by August 9, 2024 and will be evaluated on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis.
This procurement is not set-aside, and there is no incumbent contractor identified. The estimated value of the contract is not provided. The period of performance is 48 weeks, with delivery required to the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH. The NAICS code is 334515 for Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 750 employees. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit invoices electronically.
Notice text
NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) has a requirement to purchase Measurement Specialties TE Connectivity Optimus System for use at the 10x10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel (SWT). The 10x10 SWT at NASA GRC is standardized to using TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties products for pressure measurement. The system currently in use is the predecessor of the Optimus Pressure Measurement System and uses the same interface to connect with the NASA data system. The interface between the Optimus system and NASA’s data system has been developed over the last decade and is well understood, being in use at various other facilities at NASA GRC.
