About this opportunity

The Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases awarded MRIGLOBAL a cost reimbursement, level of effort contract valued at up to $21,880,263 to provide Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) Quality Assessment Program (TBQA) services from November 17, 2023 through November 16, 2030. The contract utilizes a cost reimbursement structure and will support TBQA services over a 7-year base period and option terms to address the evolving needs of the requirement and uncertainties involved in precisely estimating costs for the dynamic science responsive and result-driven work.

Notice text

A competitive cost reimbursement, level of effort (term) type contract was awarded, for the period of performance of November 17, 2023 through November 16, 2024 (Base Period), and a total period of performance (including base period and all options) of November 17, 2023 through November 16, 2030. Upon analysis of the type of work and all associated costs involved, a fixed-price type contract was not feasible due to the absence of precise specifications and difficulties in estimating costs with accuracy. Based upon the uncertainties involved, the Government would assume undue risk in attempting to fit a relatively dynamic (science responsive and result-driven) requirement into a fixed-price environment. A fixed-price contract would be disadvantageous to the Government, since it does not provide the Government with the flexibility that is needed to responsively and responsibly shift with the evolving needs of the requirement.

Awarded contract 75N93024C00002 to MRIGLOBAL for 21880263.00 on 2023-11-17.
