About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Hood is seeking contracted Museum Staffing Services to support the safe and effective operation of three historic sites at Fort Riley, Kansas: the U.S. Cavalry Museum, 1st Infantry Division Museum, and the Custer House. The contractor must provide quality, flexible, and cost-effective staffing services that support military operations while maintaining these culturally significant facilities. Key requirements include providing three personnel (two dedicated staff members and one relief worker), developing and submitting a Quality Control Plan addressing continuous process improvement and discrepancy correction, and ensuring all employees complete AT Level I awareness training and iWATCH training within 30 days of employment. The contractor must also furnish all personnel, supplies, equipment, and supervision while the government provides facilities, utilities, and cleaning materials. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on February 2, 2026, with a question submission deadline of February 10, 2026, though specific evaluation criteria have not been detailed in the pre-solicitation materials.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, limiting competition to small business entities as defined by the Small Business Administration. The contract is structured as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) engagement with a base year running from May 15, 2026 through May 14, 2027, followed by four one-year renewal options extending through May 2031, totaling a potential five-year performance period. The contractor must staff all Saturdays and Sundays plus eight specified holidays and the day after Thanksgiving, with varying seasonal operating hours across the three buildings, including year-round weekend operations at the two main museums and seasonal operations at the Custer House from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Specific award values and budget information are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation materials, though the Performance Work Statement indicates this is a follow-on contract for continued museum operations. Interested contractors should monitor the Federal Procurement Data System and agency websites for the official solicitation release and submission instructions.
