About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential vendors for comprehensive staffing and operational support of the National Coast Guard Museum in New London, Connecticut. The procurement encompasses five core operational areas: curatorial and collections management, visitor and guest services, education and public programming, general operations support for events, and exhibit maintenance with audiovisual and IT systems support. Interested vendors must submit responses by April 15, 2026, via email to Captain John Adams at John.c.adams2@uscg.mil, with submissions limited to ten pages using standard one-inch margins. Required response content includes company profile information, relevant experience with at least two specific examples of past contracts within the past ten years (preferably in the New England region), a capability narrative addressing each core operational area and personnel management practices, and a brief business model overview. This is a pre-solicitation notice for information purposes only and does not constitute a binding commitment; the government will post any competitive solicitation on SAM.gov, and vendors must monitor that site for formal solicitation details.
No set-aside designations have been applied to this procurement, and no incumbent contractors or current vendors are identified in this pre-solicitation notice. The RFI does not specify award values, budget ranges, or contract quantities, as this is a market research phase intended to gauge vendor capabilities and inform future solicitation strategy. This notice does not indicate a timeline for service delivery, the number of personnel required, or the expected contract value, as these details will likely be determined following vendor responses and included in any formal solicitation. No funds are available for response preparation costs, and the government has indicated that telephone submissions will not be accepted. Vendors should note that submission of a response to this RFI does not obligate the government to issue a contract or guarantee consideration for any subsequent formal solicitation.
