About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is issuing a Sources Sought notice to conduct market research for adding 129 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) of Pratt & Whitney aircraft engine components to an existing sole source contract. The consumable items include various mechanical components such as bushings, sleeves, weights, adapters, tubes, bolts, washers, and springs classified under Federal Supply Classes ranging from 2840 to 5365. Beyond parts supply, the contract requires planning, forecasting, reliability improvements, engineering maintenance, and design control functions for these components. This Sources Sought notice is for information gathering purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or obligation to award; the government will not be liable for proprietary information submitted and reserves the right to reject any input provided. The due date for responses to this notice is January 15, 2026, with a Letter Request for Proposal (RFP) to be issued subsequently to the incumbent contractor.

This procurement has no set-aside designation and is intended to modify the existing contract SPE4AX-24-D-9000 previously awarded to Pratt and Whitney, operating under CAGE codes 52661 and 77445. The contract currently has eight potential years remaining, providing a substantial long-term commitment to support aircraft engine component supply and associated services. The 129 items identified in the attached spreadsheet (TF33 SS NIIN List Add 4.xlsx) were not included in the original synopsis but are now proposed for addition to the existing agreement through a sole source modification. Responders should contact the Contracting Officer to obtain a copy of the Letter RFP when it is issued. While no specific award value is stated in this pre-solicitation notice, the scope of services and the eight-year contract duration indicate a significant procurement value for aviation support components.

Notice text

The Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support Richmond issues this Sources Sought for potentially adding a population of 129 NSNs identified as sole source via modification.  This agency proposes adding 129 items to the existing TF33 Pacer Phoenix Contract.  These will be added to the contract SPE4AX-24-D-9000, awarded to Pratt and Whitney/CAGE 52661 in accordance with the originally approved J&A.  However, the NSNs identified here were not included in the list of original items synopsized for this effort.  The contract has 8 potential years remaining.  This contract requires supply of parts,as well as other functions including but not limited to planning and forecasting, reliability improvements, engineering maintenance, and design control affecting these parts.  A Letter Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued to the awardee to request addition of the 129 items as sole source.  Contact the Contracting Officer listed to obtain a copy of the Letter RFP.
