About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) intends to issue a solicitation for a long-term strategic contract supporting multiple weapon systems, including the H-60 Navy Seahawk Helicopter, B-1B Bomber, A-10 Thunderbolt, Eagle F-15 Aircraft, F-16 Fighting Falcon Aircraft, CH-53 Sea Stallion Helicopter, and AH-64 Apache Helicopter. The contract will focus on procuring 23 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) primarily involving fastening devices such as screws, studs, washers, rivets, and related components. The procurement will be conducted using other than full and open competition, supported by a Justification and Approval (J&A) in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The final contract award decision will be based on a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors to be detailed in the solicitation. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on May 7, 2025, with proposals due by June 7, 2025, through the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS).

The contract will not have a specific set-aside designation and is structured as a fixed-price Indefinite Quantity Contract with a total 5-year performance period. The government may award multiple contracts for this procurement, with an anticipated initial award covering the 23 identified NSNs. The contract will span Federal Supply Classes 5305, 5307, 5310, 5320, and 5325, focusing on manufacturing bolt, nut, screw, rivet, and washer components for critical military aircraft platforms. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract's comprehensive nature and multi-year timeline suggest a significant procurement effort. The solicitation will be available exclusively in PDF format through DIBBS, and no paper copies will be provided to potential contractors. Interested vendors will need to download the solicitation using Adobe Acrobat Reader and carefully review the detailed requirements for these critical aerospace fastening components.
