About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command has issued a Special Notice for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) regarding the repair services for MS-Valves. The notice outlines the intent to potentially sole source a contract for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) valve restoration services. The specific notice is focused on repairing four Leslie valve assemblies to their original manufacturer's specifications. While this is a notice of intent, the government emphasizes that it is not a request for competitive quotes, but rather an opportunity for interested parties to demonstrate their capabilities. The notice is part of a Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition process.

Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit their capability documentation by March 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM PST to demonstrate their ability to meet the technical requirements. All responses must be submitted via email to Contract Specialist Brianna Webb, with the subject line "RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR MS-VALVES". To be eligible, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The documentation should provide detailed information about the company's technical background, experience, and capabilities to support the valve repair requirements. The government will review all responses and determine whether to issue a competitive solicitation, with the final decision solely at their discretion. The proposed work involves repairing four specific valve assemblies between July 21 and September 2, 2025, with strict OEM restoration and testing specifications.
