About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a $119,928,318 hybrid Cost Plus Fixed Fee and Firm Fixed Price contract to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for the procurement of Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment and support services for the MQ-9A unmanned aerial system. The awarded contract covers Electronic Warfare Pods, EW Aircraft (A-Kits), Ground Control System (GCS) Kits, Optix Kits, Maintenance Laptops, Maintenance Toolkits, Spares, Systems Engineering, Logistics and Training Support, and the installation of the Pods and Kits. This award was made on a sole-source basis under order N0001924F5559 under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001922G0006, with the justification that GA-ASI is the only responsible source capable of meeting the agency's requirements as the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-9A MUX MALE UAS system. The contract spans fiscal years 2023-2028 and includes development, production, and integration of Detect and Avoid System (DAAS) and Electronic Warfare capabilities for the MQ-9A "Reaper" unmanned aerial system.
