About this opportunity
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Lakehurst intends to procure hydraulic power supply units for the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Air Systems, supporting both the United States Navy and Royal Australian Air Force. Specific part numbers include electric, hydraulic, and diesel hydraulic power supply units. The procurement will be processed under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), which allows for a non-competitive acquisition due to unique technical circumstances. Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII), the Original Equipment Manufacturer, developed these support equipment components at private expense and holds exclusive technical data rights. Interested parties must submit responses within fifteen calendar days of the notice's publication, with submissions limited to ten pages and sent via email to the designated point of contact.
The contract will be a three-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) arrangement, with no specific set-aside designations. Active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) is mandatory for consideration. The government has determined that alternative support equipment development is not feasible due to unsupportable timeline and cost constraints. While no specific award value is disclosed, the procurement is specifically targeted to HII as the sole source capable of meeting the technical requirements. Potential respondents should note that the government retains full discretion in determining whether to proceed with a competitive procurement and is not obligated to issue a solicitation or make an award, regardless of responses received.
