About this opportunity
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Lakehurst intends to award a limited competition contract for MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) Avionics Accessory Sets to support the United States Navy and Royal Australian Air Force. The specific accessory sets include 1553 Accessory Set, Ethernet Accessory Set, and 1553 Data Bus Accessory Set, which are critical for troubleshooting 1553 Data Bus and Ethernet systems in aircraft maintenance. The procurement will be conducted under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, which allows for a non-competitive acquisition when only one source can satisfy agency requirements. The original equipment manufacturer, Integrated Consultants Inc. (ICI), is the designer and developer of these specialized accessory sets, and the government does not own the technical data rights to enable broader competition. Responses to this notice will be considered within 15 calendar days of publication, with the government retaining sole discretion on whether to open the requirement to competition.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this procurement. The potential contractors include Integrated Consultants Inc. (OEM) and Northrop Grumman Corporation, which is an authorized distributor. While no specific award value or budget range is provided, the contract is focused on highly specialized accessory sets for the MQ-4C Triton UAS. The accessory sets are unique, developed specifically for the MQ-4C system, and are the only identified support equipment capable of completing designated aircraft maintenance tasks. The procurement timeline suggests a potential contract award following the response period, with the due date for initial responses set for January 10, 2025. The contract will directly support maintenance and operational capabilities of unmanned air systems for both the U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Air Force.
