About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a modification to The Boeing Company for the procurement of TTRU Software drops for the MQ-25 Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). The solicitation will be conducted under a sole-source procurement authority using 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), which allows for single-source procurement when only one contractor can meet agency requirements. Boeing is deemed the exclusive contractor due to its unique position as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-25A aircraft, with unparalleled technical understanding and capability to address the program's complex developmental requirements. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on February 5, 2025, with responses accepted until February 21, 2025. While this is not a competitive solicitation, interested parties may submit written responses to Jared Mason or Jennifer Alvey to potentially influence the procurement approach.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, and no explicit award value or budget range is provided in the document. The contract will be executed under existing contract number N00019-18-C-1012, with Boeing as the incumbent and proposed sole-source provider. The procurement is categorized under NAICS code 336411 for Aircraft Manufacturing and PSC code AC14 for National Defense R&D Services. Subcontractors interested in potential opportunities are encouraged to contact Brad Westerfeld at Boeing directly. The government retains full discretion to determine whether to compete the proposed contract effort, and no phone inquiries will be entertained regarding this potential procurement.
