About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to procure obsolescence efforts for a Radio Frequency Blanker Unit (RFBU) and associated non-recurring engineering (NRE) and integration of the Advanced Tactical System Hardware Build 2.2 (ANTS HB 2.2) to support the MQ-25A unmanned aircraft program, with the addition of replacement of the Encrypted Mass Storage Solution with a new data transfer system (DTS) 1+ and associated software modifications. NAVAIR plans to award this contract to a single source under the authority of 10 U.S.C.3204(a)(1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 based on the justification that only one responsible source can satisfy the agency's requirements. Although this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may submit written responses via email or U.S. mail to Janet Kennedy or Jennifer Alvey to identify their interest and capability; the Government will evaluate all information received to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement, with the final decision remaining solely within Government discretion. The due date for responses is February 12, 2026, and no phone inquiries will be accepted. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities are encouraged to contact The Boeing Company directly through Brad Westerfeld.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and The Boeing Company is identified as the anticipated award recipient and sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-25A unmanned aircraft system. The notice does not disclose a specific award value or budget range for the contract. The work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, and falls under the Aircraft Manufacturing NAICS code 336411 and the National Defense R&D Services PSC code AC14. While no specific timeline or quantity of goods is detailed in the synopsis, the contract encompasses both hardware procurement and advanced systems integration efforts critical to the MQ-25A program's continued development.
