About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a modification to The Boeing Company for the procurement of up to three additional System Demonstration Test Articles for the MQ-25 program, pending Congressional approval of a reprogramming request. As the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-25A unmanned aircraft, Boeing is considered the only contractor capable of addressing the interrelated impacts on the developmental efforts. The government will consider information received prior to the closing date of November 8, 2023 in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
There is no set-aside designation. Boeing is identified as the potential incumbent given its role as the sole source for the MQ-25A. The procurement is for up to three test articles with an estimated place of performance in St. Louis, Missouri. The notice of intent closes on November 8, 2023, after which the government will determine if a competitive bid process is warranted.
Notice text
Pending Congressional approval of an Above Threshold Reprogramming request, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, intends to award a modification under N00019-18-C-1012 to The Boeing Company (Boeing) for the negotiation and award of the procurement of up to three (3) additional System Demonstration Test Articles in support of the MQ-25 program. This modification will only go forth upon congressional approval of an Above Threshold Reprogramming.

Boeing is the only source with the unique capability to address the interrelated impacts on the developmental efforts of the MQ-25 program.
