About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is procuring replacement parts for aircraft gas turbine engines through a sole source procurement. The specific items being acquired include turbine mounts, bearings, bearing assemblies, and elastomeric mounts with a total of five different part numbers across multiple NSNs. NAVSUP intends to solicit this procurement on a sole source basis with Sikorsky, as the agency has determined that only this contractor can satisfy its requirements due to proprietary data restrictions and lack of government ownership of technical documentation. While the notice indicates that all responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration, the government's stated intent is to negotiate with only one responsible source. The solicitation will proceed under FAR Part 15 procedures, and award is anticipated under the existing Basic Ordering Agreement N0038320GX901. The due date for responses to this pre-solicitation notice is November 5, 2025.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and identifies Sikorsky as the anticipated sole source contractor. The procurement calls for quantities ranging from 5 to 13 units depending on the specific part, with a total requirement spanning five distinct line items across multiple Federal Supply Classes and NAICS codes. Firms not already approved to manufacture these materials must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR); however, the procurement will proceed without delay pending SAR approval. The delivery is specified as FOB Origin, and the contract will be executed using standard FAR Part 15 acquisition procedures. No specific contract value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, though the consolidated nature of the requirements under a single BOA suggests a moderate-value procurement.
