About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a specific military parts acquisition (NSN 7H-5342-014178577) with a quantity of 52 units, to be delivered FOB Origin. The procurement is unique in that it requires sourcing from a specific vendor or repair source as defined by DoD-STD-100 standards, with limited technical data and manufacturing rights available. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though they will consider proposals from interested parties submitted within 45 days of the notice's publication. Potential contractors must demonstrate technical capability to meet strict military specifications and possess the necessary technical data package for the item. The solicitation indicates that commercial item acquisition policies will not be applied to this procurement.

This pre-solicitation notice does not include a specific set-aside designation and does not disclose potential award values or precise budget ranges. The contract opportunity is subject to Free Trade Agreements, potentially invoking DFARS clauses related to Buy American Act and international trade regulations. The procurement is categorized under PSC Category 5342-P for Hardware, Weapon System, suggesting a specialized military equipment procurement. Interested parties have 15 days to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item, though the government retains full discretion in determining competitive procurement strategies. The proposed contract action will be executed by the Naval Supply Systems Command, a defense agency responsible for critical military supply chain management.
