THIS AMENDMENT IS HEREBY ISSUED TO CLARIFY THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION REGARDING THE SOLICITATION REFERENCED ABOVE:
ADDITIONAL SALIENT CHARACTERISTIC
MUST INCLUDE ONSITE SETUP AND INTEGRATION OF ALL CARTS.
SUBMISSION OF QUOTES MUST CONTAIN A SIGNED COPY OF ALL ISSUED AMENDMENTS.
THIS AMENDMENT SHALL ALSO INCLUDE SUBMITTED QUESTIONS BELOW:
1. Can you please provide the specs for the new model? Please note, the Dell OptiPlex 7040
computer and general 24 inch monitor is used for this cart, not the Tangent all in one. Please
verify computer.
Answer: The cart company will procure the tangent all-in-one and configure the workstation
on to their platform. If their platform is not compatible with the tangent T24B then they do
not meet minimum specifications.
2. Is the touch screen request for the 24 inch LCD screen or the 6 inch display monitor?
Answer: The touchscreen is for the Tangent T24B (24inch monitor)
3. When are responses due?
Answer: The amendment issued has a closing date/time of Friday, May 19, 2017 @ 1:00 PM

4. There is no mention of on-site set up and integration. Can you please verify with the end
user that they do or do not want this service as part of the project?
Answer: Amendment 2 address this issue by adding the following salient characteristic:
Must include onsite setup and integration of all carts.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 -- Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR -- Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures; and supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95, dated January 19, 2017.
Solicitation VA262-17-Q-0884 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and constitutes the only solicitation. The Government intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award contract.
This procurement will be issued under as a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS Code is 334111 and the Small Business Administration s (SBA) size standard 1250 Employees.
The Government is seeking a contract to acquire motorized nursing workstation carts. This solicitation contains a brand name justification for the following systems and components:
Must be Compatible with Tangent T24B Medix Computer
Must contain a i7 Core CPU
Must have 4GB (RAM) at a minimum
802.11AC Wi-Fi, must be FIPS 140-2 Wireless Adapter
Must have a 7800mAH Battery at a minimum
Must contain a Color touchscreen LCD within cart
Must have 6 AC receptacles at a minimum
Must contain a 40Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery at a minimum
Must have capability to have cart be powered/motorized to assist with mobilization
Must be compatible with CIS/ARK Philips

Place of Performance: VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS), 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161.
Period of Performance: Within 45-60 days of placing order or sooner if available.
Provisions 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial and 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items are applicable to this acquisition. Furthermore, Provision 52.212-2 is utilizing the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) on an Acceptable/Unacceptable evaluation process.
Submitting Quote: Offeror(s) shall submit their quote on company letterhead and shall include the completed pricing forms, along with name, address, telephone number of the offeror, firm s DUNS#, total price and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items or a copy of offeror s annual offeror representations and certifications (ORCA) document from www.sam.gov as required by FAR Clause 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. As an alternative, Offeror(s) may use the Price/Cost Schedule of the attached SF 1449 for quote submission.
