About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is seeking reliable, SAM-registered businesses that can provide approximately 11 motorcycles for the Air Force motorcycle safety course given on one of the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Texas, installations throughout the year. The motorcycles must be new within the current year, street legal, fully assembled, and without aftermarket equipment. They must have an engine displacement of 300cc or less, a fuel injection system, a chain drive, weigh 400 pounds or less, and have a seat height of 32.7 inches or less for the Yamaha XT250, or equal, and 31.1 inches or less for the Yamaha TW200, or equal. The motorcycles must be delivered to zip code 78236, and the title and registration will be made to the JBSA Safety Program. Companies able to supply the motorcycles within 90 days of a contract award are requested to submit their company details to the point of contact.

There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The preference is for small businesses, but manufacturers and large businesses that can deliver the motorcycles within 90 days are also welcome to submit company information. The government is seeking sources for future buys that can provide the full order of motorcycles in a reasonable amount of time, as the last two contracts awarded for motorcycles have taken over a year and a half to receive the motorcycles and have been an administrative burden.
