Please be aware that the funeral home does not necessarily have to be located in Massechusetes just as long as it can still fulfill all of the duties and requirements of the SOW and solicitation.

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for the provision of Mortuary services for the inmate population located at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Devens located at 42 Patton Road, Ayer, MA 01432. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 812210 (Size Standard: $8 million.  Please refer to the attached Statement of Work for more details.  The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal.  A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result.  Due to the nature of the correctional setting, delays in performance of work may be expected.  More details are within the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about September 15, 2021 and will be distributed solely through the SAMs website at www.sam.gov/.  All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available.  The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about October 15, 2021. Faith-Based and Community-Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Insert the clause FAR 52.204-13, System for Award Management Maintenance, in solicitations that contain the provision at 52.204-7, and resulting contracts. This clause requires all contractors doing business with the federal government after September 30, 2003, to be registered in the SAM database at www.sam.gov/.  Contractors should include their Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number in their offers.  The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award by entering the potential awardees DUNS number into the SAM database.
