About this opportunity

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is seeking to procure U.S. Navy Monobloc Propellers and Caps for multiple ship classes including CVN, DDG, LHD, and LCC. The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command will manage this competitive procurement, which will be awarded under 10 U.S.C. 2304 and Federal Acquisition Regulations. The contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) mechanism with a one-year base period and four potential one-year option periods. A Sources Sought notice was previously issued on SAM.gov from November 22 to December 6, 2024, to gauge market interest. The Product Service Code (PSC) for this procurement is 2010, specifically targeting ship and boat propulsion components.

The contract opportunity is designated as an unrestricted competitive procurement, with no small business set-aside status. While specific award values are not explicitly detailed, the solicitation indicates varied annual quantities of propellers across different naval vessel classes. The procurement is currently in pre-solicitation status, with a full solicitation anticipated to be released after the informational notice period. The expected contract timeline spans five years, including the base year and four option periods. Potential contractors should be prepared to manufacture and deliver propellers for naval vessels, with estimated annual quantities ranging from 1-12 units per vessel type. The final solicitation number is N64498-24-RFPREQ-PD-42-0235, and interested vendors should closely monitor future updates on SAM.gov.
