About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a Monitor, Module for In Repair/Modification, specifically identified by NSN 7H-6110-991675193. The procurement is for a single unit (1 EA) with delivery FOB Origin and Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 002. Due to data ownership constraints, the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. All responsible sources may express interest and capability within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received.
There are no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity. The solicitation falls under the Electrical Control Equipment product service category (PSC 6110-P). The pre-solicitation notice was posted on March 22, 2025, with responses due by May 7, 2025. The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase the data rights or attempt to reverse engineer the part, which suggests unique technical specifications or proprietary design elements. While the exact award value is not specified, the procurement is for a single unit with potential complexity in repair or modification. The notice emphasizes that while all proposals will be considered, the government maintains complete discretion in determining the procurement approach.
