About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring 3 units of LCD monitors (NSN 7R-1710-015865114-EY) categorized as aircraft landing equipment, which are flight critical components requiring government source approval prior to contract award. This procurement requires that only previously approved sources may submit proposals, as the item is flight critical and the time required for new source approval would delay award beyond acceptable timeframes. Companies not currently approved as sources must submit comprehensive technical data and manufacturing information as detailed in NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Source Approval Information Brochures along with their proposals. The government maintains complete rights to technical data and considers the data package sufficient for procurement purposes. The solicitation was posted on March 27, 2025, with proposals due by July 3, 2025, and delivery terms specified as FOB Origin.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designation and is being conducted under full and open competition among pre-approved sources only. The solicitation does not identify specific incumbent contractors or provide estimated contract values, though it specifies a quantity of 3 units for delivery. The government has indicated that based on market research, FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition procedures will not be applied, though interested parties have 15 days from the notice date to demonstrate their capability to satisfy requirements with commercial items. Award decisions will be based on fleet support needs and timeline requirements, with the government reserving the right to proceed with approved sources if new source approval processes cannot be completed in time to meet operational requirements.
