The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in support of the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases (LID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition global molecular characterization of RNA samples from influenza viral, bacterial co-infected and vaccinated animals generated by the Viral Pathogenesis and Evolution Section (VPES). This includes RNA purification, cDNA expression microarrays, Next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics analyses from the Institute of Systems Biology, 401 Terry Avenue North Seattle, WA 98109. The Institute of Systems Biology has been working with VPES on several influenza protocols. Changing vendors at this time would introduce variables into the protocols that would negatively affect the current projects. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible source s may submit a response with their capabilities to provide the above services that will be considered. The Government reserves the right to make a decision whether to this requirement is available for competition. All responses shall be submitted no later than 31 August 2015 to Pamela.Nevels@nih.gov.
