About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking to procure 17 units of MODULE, SWITCH under NSN 7H-5930-014725945. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government requires delivery FOB origin and will conduct administration and inspection in accordance with reference number 12522. The agency has determined it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer this part, meaning they must procure from sources with existing manufacturing capabilities. The government has explicitly stated they will not be using FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition procedures for this procurement, though interested parties have 15 days from the notice date to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item. The response deadline for this opportunity is July 28, 2025.

This procurement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under FAR clause 52.219-6, with the specific type of small business set-aside to be determined in the formal solicitation. The set-aside may include HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business Program eligible concerns, or Historically Black College and University/Minority Institution designations. The solicitation will specify which particular small business category applies through inclusion of the appropriate FAR or DFARS clause. No incumbent contractor or current supplier is identified in this notice, and no estimated contract value or budget range is provided. The quantity requirement is limited to 17 units total, suggesting a relatively small-scale procurement focused on maintaining existing equipment or systems.
