About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a contractor to repair and modify a MODULE, MACHINE BRID, classified under the Semiconductor and Related Device Manufacturing NAICS category. The solicitation, posted on April 17, 2025, with proposals due by May 19, 2025, requires a contractor to perform repair work according to approved repair standards, manufacturing operations, and technical procedures. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis and involves restoring a specific machine module with a unique reference number EMAM-1R2017-A10. Contractors must follow specific marking requirements per MIL-STD-130 and be prepared to document any design or part number changes using established change code protocols. Potential offerors must demonstrate they are authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's item and be able to provide comprehensive documentation of their repair and modification processes.
The solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside for small businesses, though it includes provisions for small business subcontracting plans. The contract will require all repair work to be performed using the contractor's standard practices, technical orders, and approved repair standards, with the government reserving the right to inspect and validate the work. The performance timeline suggests a 180-day completion window, and contractors must maintain inspection records for 365 calendar days after final delivery. While no specific award value is mentioned, the contract involves repairing a specialized electronic module for naval use. Contractors will be expected to package and preserve the repaired module according to MIL-STD 2073 standards and be prepared to potentially support national defense, emergency preparedness, or energy program initiatives. The work is likely to be performed at the contractor's facility, with potential government oversight and inspection.
