About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a MODULE, EXTRNL I/O and a RADOME HATCH SEAL through this solicitation. The contract opportunity falls under the Bare Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing NAICS category and targets authorized distributors of original manufacturers' items. Key contract requirements include strict compliance with MIL-STD-130 for item marking and detailed provisions for potential design, material, or part number changes. Contractors must maintain comprehensive inspection records for 365 calendar days after final delivery and follow specific code protocols when proposing substitutions or modifications. The solicitation was posted on May 25, 2022, with a due date of May 22, 2025, providing a substantial window for potential offerors to prepare and submit their proposals.
This solicitation is not designated as a small business set-aside, meaning all qualified distributors can compete. The contract involves manufacturing specific components with precise technical specifications, requiring contractors to demonstrate expertise in producing electronic and electrical assemblies. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the contract appears focused on specialized military hardware for naval systems. Contractors must be prepared to provide detailed documentation, including drawings and explanations for any proposed changes, and must obtain necessary distribution-authorized documents from specified government sources. The performance will likely involve manufacturing and delivering precisely engineered modules and seals that meet stringent military specifications, with potential distribution and production occurring across various Department of Defense facilities and authorized contractor locations.
