About this opportunity
The Bureau of Reclamation seeks to acquire contractor services to improve operational assumptions within its CalSim water allocation model. Specifically, the contractor will explore perspectives on Central Valley Project allocations and export capabilities that directly reflect operational decision processes. The contractor must also implement flexibility in CVP/SWP accounting, revisit Millerton Lake operations logic, and develop templates for user rescheduling and groundwater pumping practices to propagate through the model. Interested vendors must respond by October 20th with experience using CalSim to be considered for this sole-source contract, which will be evaluated based on the vendor's relevant experience.
There is no set-aside designation for this requirement. Deliverables include interim WRESL code, final documentation with comments, and secure online access to the revised models. The work is to be completed on an as-needed basis, with an initial performance period of one year and options to extend for two additional years. Vendors must be able to begin work by January 2023 upon issuance of the task order.
