About this opportunity
This solicitation from the US Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal seeks to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract to provide a Mobile Low, Slow Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Integrated Defeat system (M-LIDS) to detect, track, classify, evaluate and defeat various groups of unmanned aerial systems. The contract would have a 60 month period of performance including a 12 month base ordering period and four 12 month option periods. The solicitation is seeking to make a sole source award to DRS, the only known source that can meet the requirements of the JUON CC-0558 within the required timeframe, given their expertise developing and integrating M-LIDS. The deadline for proposals is March 25, 2019.
This requirement has no set-aside designation. The contract would support procurement, delivery, and sustainment of up to 100 M-LIDS units as well as deployment, sustainment and logistics support in various CONUS and OCONUS locations. It would also provide the ability to develop, integrate, and test new capabilities to counter evolving UAS threats. The contract type would be an IDIQ with firm fixed price for hardware, software, firmware and production services, and cost-plus-fixed-fee for non-production services. DRS is identified as the potential incumbent given their role as developer and integrator of M-LIDS.
