About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Company for Close-In Weapon Systems production requirements for fiscal years 2021 through 2023. Raytheon is the only company deemed to have the expertise, knowledge, experience and facilities required to meet the technical requirements for CIWS. Interested parties may submit proposals until December 3, 2019, though the government retains sole discretion to determine if the requirement will be competed.
There is no set-aside designation for this pre-solicitation notice. Raytheon is identified as the potential incumbent and sole source awardee based on its capabilities. As the notice does not provide budget ranges or quantities, specific award values are unknown. However, given the three year period of performance for CIWS production requirements, the potential contract value would likely be significant.
