The procurement covers repair and restoration services under NAICS code 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a corresponding small business size standard of $16.5 million. Key requirements include supplying all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision to restore the system to its previous condition by installing specified OEM components such as cylinder mount plates, fuses, hydraulic hoses, and a pressure relief system, with optional replacement of bent cylinders. This Sources Sought notice is being released in accordance with DFARS PGI 206.103-170 to support justification for potential sole-source award under FAR 6.103-1 and does not constitute a formal solicitation or guarantee of contractual commitment. The due date for responses is March 19, 2026.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to small business concerns. The notice identifies Task 1 requiring restoration with specific OEM parts including four cylinder mount plates, three 100-amp fuses, hydraulic hoses, and mounting hardware, while Task 2 requires installation of support gussets, a pressure relief valve system, and associated welding services. Task 3 is an optional task that may be exercised to replace two extension cylinders if needed. No award value or budget range is specified in the pre-solicitation notice, and no incumbent contractor is identified. The government's interest extends to all business types including large businesses, small businesses, and small disadvantaged businesses, though the ultimate award will be limited to small business concerns due to the set-aside designation.
