About this opportunity

The US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants seeks one unit of new microwave communication equipment meeting or exceeding the specifications of an Aviat Eclipse IRU600 Radio Platform and terminal, with proposals due June 24 at 1500 PST and questions due June 10 at 1500 PST. This is an unrestricted acquisition with no set-aside.

Place of performance is the USGS Earthquake Science Center, 350 North Akron Road, Building 19, Moffett Field, California 94035, with estimated delivery September 30, 2026 or earlier, FOB destination. The equipment must be new only—no grey market or refurbished products—and covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The NAICS code is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees.

Technical requirements specify the Eclipse IRU600 operating in the 7/8 GHz NTIA-licensed band with Monitoring Hot Standby, Space Diversity, and Frequency Diversity configuration. The terminal must include microwave radio with protected Ethernet and DS1 interface, FIP140-2 payload encryption licenses, equipment rack and accessories, one set of spare parts, and network management hardware and license. All delivered software must be scanned for malicious code prior to installation on USGS systems, and contractors must submit an Accessibility Conformance Report addressing Section 508 standards. Five years of warranty is required. Award is made using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation criteria. The period of performance runs July 1 through September 30, 2026. Questions should be directed to contracting officer Yangzhi Deng at yangzhi_deng@ios.doi.gov or 916-278-9326. Quotations must be submitted electronically to the same email address as a signed SF 1449 form with firm fixed pricing.
