About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Weapons System at Norfolk Naval Shipyard is soliciting quotes for Microset replication compound and related dispensing equipment through a Firm Fixed Price Single Award Contract. The procurement will be evaluated using a best value approach with technical capability designated as the most important factor, followed by delivery and prior history considerations, with price being the least significant evaluation criterion. Contractors must be small businesses meeting the 600-employee size standard under NAICS code 334519. The solicitation is expected to be posted on SAM.gov on November 6, 2025, with quotes due by 1:00 PM EST on November 12, 2025. All solicitation documents will be provided in electronic form only, and responses must be emailed according to instructions provided in the full solicitation.

This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside, restricting competition exclusively to qualified small business concerns. The requirement includes three contract line items specifying products from John Chadwick Corporation: 500 units of Microset Replication Compound (50ML, gray, GPFC thixotropic), 5 packs of nozzle packs containing 50 pieces each, and 5 manual dispensing guns for 50ML application. The anticipated delivery timeline is four weeks from contract award. While no specific budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the relatively modest quantities and equipment specifications suggest a limited contract value. Interested small businesses should monitor SAM.gov for the full solicitation release and prepare their technical, past performance, and delivery capabilities documentation accordingly.
