About this opportunity
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Joint Administrative Operations is planning to award a sole source contract to DLP Marquette Physician Practices, Inc. for a 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) providing medical surveillance services for sea lamprey control workers. The contract focuses on annual exposure-specific surveillance exams to monitor health effects from chemicals used in controlling sea lamprey populations in the Great Lakes, including TFM, Bayluscide, Bisazir, and formaldehyde, as well as Lyme disease infectious agents. The procurement will be conducted under FAR 6.302-1 authority, which allows for a sole source award when only one responsible source exists. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirement may submit a written statement of capabilities to dana_arnold@fws.gov by February 24, 2025. Any capability statements must provide clear evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government, with all preparation and submission costs being the sole responsibility of the respondent.
The contract opportunity is not set aside for any specific group and has a total potential value of $16,000,000 under the NAICS code 621111 for Offices of Physicians. The sole source awardee, DLP Marquette Physician Practices, Inc., located in Marquette, Michigan, will continue providing occupational medicine services in accordance with 242 FW 7 Pesticide Users Safety regulations. The 5-year BPA aims to maintain data consistency by reviewing and tracking medical results for the sea lamprey control program workers over time. The medical surveillance program will provide annual comprehensive health examinations specifically tailored to monitor potential health impacts from chemical exposures unique to sea lamprey population control efforts. The procurement represents a continuation of existing medical services with an emphasis on maintaining a consistent and comprehensive health monitoring approach for workers in this specialized environmental management program.
