About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps is seeking a comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure survey and upgrade for their Demark location 3E5500, focusing on Internet and television services. The pre-solicitation notice outlines a requirement for 1Gb Optical Internet with a 16 static IP address range and an IPTV-based cable television service capable of supporting 450 current devices with potential expansion to 500 devices. The procurement will require a detailed mapping of the installed system, wireless capabilities in designated common areas, and a service contract/maintenance agreement for the contract's duration. Potential bidders must provide a solution that can leverage existing infrastructure without compromising technological performance. The pre-solicitation was posted on March 26, 2025, with responses due by April 4, 2025, and is categorized under the Wireless Telecommunications Carriers NAICS code 517112.

The contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, which means only small businesses are eligible to compete for this procurement. While specific award value details are not provided, the comprehensive nature of the telecommunications infrastructure project suggests a potentially significant contract scope. The requirement includes designating a single point of contact with full technical decision-making authority, indicating the Marine Corps' preference for a streamlined and responsive service approach. The project involves upgrading and potentially replacing existing internet and television infrastructure, with a focus on scalability and modern technological capabilities. No Performance Work Statement (PWS) was available at the time of the pre-solicitation notice, which may require potential vendors to seek additional clarification through official channels before submitting their proposals.
