About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is conducting a Sources Sought market survey to identify facilities within 10 miles of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWCIHD) main gate in Maryland for hosting various organizational events. The government seeks facilities capable of supporting workforce development, leadership training, technical conferences, All-Hands meetings, command forums, innovation workshops, technology transfer initiatives, and STEM student activities. Interested sources must submit comprehensive company information including organization name, contact details, business size, tax identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE Code by February 18, 2025. Responses should be emailed to Melinda Blaine or Tina Chisley at specified Navy email addresses, with large files required to be compressed and renamed with a .piz file extension. This pre-solicitation notice is not a formal solicitation and does not guarantee any commitment from the government to proceed with a contract award.
The Sources Sought notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning the opportunity appears open to all qualified businesses. No incumbent contractors or specific award values are mentioned in the document. The procurement is categorized under PSC Category X1AB for conference space and facility leasing, suggesting the government is primarily seeking rental capabilities rather than purchasing physical assets. The geographical requirement is strictly defined as within 10 driving miles of the NSWCIHD main gate, which will likely limit potential respondents. While no specific timeline for service delivery is provided, the market survey's purpose is to help the government determine the most appropriate acquisition method for securing meeting and training facilities that can accommodate a wide range of organizational and educational events.
