About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Medical Command is seeking repair and maintenance services for two Medtronic Stealth Station S8 Navigation Platforms located at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The comprehensive service package must include unlimited repairs, labor, travel, and parts replacement, along with semi-annual and annual maintenance requirements. All repair work must be performed by qualified and authorized technicians using original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts that meet regulatory and quality standards. The contract falls under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and PSC category J065 for maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Interested parties have until August 13, 2025, to respond to this pre-solicitation notice, providing a six-day response window from the posting date of August 7, 2025.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations, making it open to full and open competition among all qualified contractors. The pre-solicitation notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific budget ranges or award values for the maintenance contract. The scope involves servicing exactly two navigation platforms, with service coverage explicitly including all travel, labor, parts, and materials necessary for comprehensive maintenance support. No specific contract duration or performance timeline is mentioned in the current notice, though the requirement for both semi-annual and annual maintenance suggests an ongoing service relationship. The specialized nature of the equipment and requirement for OEM parts indicates this will likely be a sole-source or limited competition procurement given the specific manufacturer requirements.
