About this opportunity

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) on behalf of the United States Air Force (USAF) 59th Medical Wing, Science and Technology Office is seeking industry feedback and capabilities to fulfill a research and development requirement for the Medical Evacuation During Sustained Acceleration (MEDUSA) Phase II study. The purpose of the MEDUSA Phase II study is to determine the impacts of sustained acceleration on the hemodynamics of a swine model simulating critical care medical evacuation using a large centrifuge. This effort aims to support DoD's consideration of using vertical take-off and vertical landing commercial spacecraft for rapid movement of personnel and supplies. Interested parties are requested to provide capability statements addressing their relevant experience, expertise, and proposed approaches by May 21, 2024. The government will review responses to inform the acquisition strategy but does not guarantee a future procurement.

This is an unrestricted procurement with no set-aside designations. The government has not provided any information about potential incumbents or current contractors, award values, budget ranges, quantities of goods, or timelines for services in the pre-solicitation notice.
