The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7 Network Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Mechanical Systems and Services, Inc to provide software support and upgrade for the Tridium and Honeywell Energy Management System at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Dublin GA. The NAICS code is 334513 and size standard is 500 employees. The contract period will be from May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011. This notice of intent is not A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties that can provide similar services or equal product must submit their technical specifications of product services, past performance information, price and delivery time, detailing how their services meet VA requirements to the contract specialist via e-mail or fax at 478-274-5588. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received NLT April 16, 2010 @ 1:00PM/EST USA. E-mail: Shirley.Adams@va.gov
Statutory Authority: FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satify agency requirements Validity of Use of Statutory Authority: Mechanical Systems and Services designed and installed Phase I and II of the Tridium based integration software. Because of their relationship with the proprietary Tridium based integration, they are uniquely positioned to provide contiunity of service for this work.
