SYNOPSIS: MEADOWLARK OPTICS, INC SPATIAL LIGHT MODULATOR SYSTEM
This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1) and FAR 5.207. This proposed action is for the procurement of Meadowlark Optics Spatial Light Modulator systems.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
This proposed procurement will be a sole source award under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. Business size standard for NAICS 334516 is 500 employees. FSC code: 6034 - Fiber Optic Modulator/Demodulator.

Requirement:
1. AFIT is tasked with developing a robust experimental system for generating vector partially-coherent sources/beams and experimentally investigating the potential of using these beams for USAF applications. Spatial Light Modulator system X a quantity of 2 is needed to perform this task.
The proposed source is Meadowlark Optics, Inc. 5964 Iris Parkway Frederick, CO 80530.
This procurement will not be competed because Meadowlark Optics is the only vendor that offers the software and hardware necessary to command multiple SLMs at once using MATLAB and a single computer.
The Government will award a contract to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Technical Capability and Price will be used to evaluate all offers.
