About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps is selling approximately 44,000 pounds of expended deformed small arms brass shell casings (up to .50 caliber) through a surplus property sale solicitation (M00263-25-BRASS4) issued by Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. The sale is being conducted under the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Qualified Recycling Program with proposals due electronically to Captain Zachary Keener at zachary.e.keener.mil@usmc.mil between September 3-5, 2025. The contract will be awarded on a Highest Price Technically Acceptable (HPTA) basis using a Firm Fixed Price structure, with payment required via certified check or postal money order to the US Treasury (50% upon award, remainder after material receipt). The successful contractor must provide their own transportation containers, pick up materials from Marine Corps Recruit Depot under FOB origin terms, and scrap the materials within 60 days in a manner that prevents recognition or reconstruction of the brass casings.
