About this opportunity

The Office of the Secretary of Defense, specifically the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), has published a Special Notice announcing a Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM) with industry. This industry engagement event, titled "MC TEM Industry Day May 2026," is hosted by the Assistant Secretary of War for Mission Capabilities (ASW(MC)) and will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET at the Kossiakoff Center at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland. The event is classified at the SECRET//FVEY level and requires advanced registration and security clearance verification from all attendees. This announcement does not constitute a Request for Proposal or promise of future RFP issuance, but rather serves as an informational engagement opportunity for qualified industry partners.

The TEM is designed to brief private industry on current and future threats, challenges, and technical priorities that OUSW(R&E) programs are addressing, including Contested Logistics, C-C5ISRT, and Multi-Domain Collaborative Autonomy. Prospective participants must register in advance through separate registration links for U.S. citizens and foreign nationals, with U.S. citizens required to clear by May 13, 2026, and foreign citizens by April 28, 2026; all registrants must submit security clearances via a Visitor Access Request (VAR). Companies interested in scheduling one-on-one meetings with government subject matter experts must submit Requests for Information (RFI) by May 15, 2026, with selected companies notified by May 20. The registration fee is $30 per person, which includes breakfast, lunch, and coffee. Eligibility requires current or pending security clearance status, and attendees should note that cell phones and large electronics are prohibited in classified areas, while note-taking is restricted to classified rooms only.
