About this opportunity
The National Institutes of Health, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), Office of Acquisitions (OA) on behalf of the National Institute of Digestive and Diabetes and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to award a contract to MathWorks, Inc. for the procurement of the Base + Two Option years of MATLAB software Institute Wide License (IWL) maintenance, support, and software upgrades. The MATLAB software is a critical tool used in several laboratories, branches, and cores within NIDDK to undertake numerical data analysis, mathematical modeling, simulations, real-time data analysis, interfacing with other scientific applications, and m-file compilation. The contract will provide a single NIDDK IWL that will allow any individual within NIDDK to use MATLAB with any Toolbox. The determination to award this contract without providing for full and open competition is based on market research indicating that MathWorks is the only vendor that can provide the required Campus Wide Suite.
This is a pre-solicitation notice and not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond, but the government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt or provide feedback. The award is not set-aside and is expected to be below the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000. The current incumbent is MathWorks, Inc., and the award will cover the Base year plus two Option years of the IWL maintenance, support, and upgrades.
