About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 534 boxes of markers (NSN 1H-7520-015428489) for delivery to DLA Distribution facilities in New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. The proposed contract will be negotiated under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for single-source procurement when competitive bidding is not economically feasible. Interested parties may obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via online ASSIST resources or by contacting their help desk. The government will consider proposals submitted within 45 days of the synopsis publication date (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). All responsible sources are invited to demonstrate their capability to fulfill the requirement, though the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed competitively.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, indicating that only small businesses are eligible to compete for the contract. The specific order quantity is 534 boxes of pens, with detailed delivery instructions to two separate military distribution centers. No incumbent contractor is mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice, and no specific award value is disclosed. The procurement process allows potential vendors to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements to demonstrate their ability to meet the government's requirements. Documents related to the procurement can be accessed through the DODSSP's online ASSIST system, with alternative methods available for those without internet access, including phone and mail request options.
