About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command has published a Special Notice announcing the Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) Direct Reporting Program Manager (DRPM-MIB) Industry Day scheduled for July 17, 2025, in Washington, D.C. The event is designed to provide information on the DRPM-MIB's priorities and offer updates on Advanced Manufacturing, Workforce Development, and Supply Chain efforts within the program. The forum will allow industry participants to gain familiarity with DRPM-MIB personnel and provide feedback on available capabilities and capacity. The notice serves as an informational announcement rather than a solicitation for contractual offers. Registration is required by June 30, 2025, and attendance is limited to two representatives per company due to space constraints.

The primary purpose of this Industry Day is to strengthen maritime supply chain resilience, modernize facilities and infrastructure for maritime uses, expand maritime education and workforce development, and scale advanced manufacturing techniques to revolutionize the maritime supply chain. U.S.-based firms interested in these areas are eligible to participate and must contact Mr. Matthew Craft and Mr. Jonathan Overton by June 30, 2025, providing attendee information including names, titles, company details, and contact information. Companies seeking optional 15-minute one-on-one sessions must submit executive summaries highlighting their capabilities, capacity for additional work, and relevant experience with NAVSEA, other government agencies, or private sector clients. Questions for the forum must be submitted by July 7, 2025, and the agenda will be provided five business days prior to the event. The government emphasizes that this notice does not constitute a commitment to solicit or award contracts and that all participation costs are at the company's expense.
