About this opportunity
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is seeking interested vendors capable of supplying weapon surrogate systems for integration into the Marine Corps Tactical Instrumentation System (MCTIS) Family of Systems. MCTIS is designed to instrument live combatant training forces, including personnel, combat vehicles, and weapon surrogates. The intent is to enhance the Marine Corps' ground combat training by employing instrumented or converted weapons to simulate realistic combat scenarios for Marines to train as they fight. MARCORSYSCOM has issued a Request for Information (RFI) requesting information on various types of weapon surrogates, including mortars, anti-armor weapons, grenade launchers, missiles, grenades, and mines. Respondents are asked to provide product information papers and rough order of magnitude costs by September 13, 2024. MARCORSYSCOM will review submissions and determine whether to invite specific respondents to participate in an Industry Day session scheduled for Q1 FY25.
This opportunity is not set-aside. The RFI is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a Request for Proposal. No potential incumbents or current contractors are named. The value of the potential contract or budget range is not specified. The RFI focuses on the procurement of weapon surrogate systems, but does not provide any numerical details regarding the quantity of goods or timeline for services.
